I love food entirely too much. I don’t have a well-equipped kitchen, and I don’t have staple ingredients on hand at any given time. I create random things from what I have sitting in my cabinets, which usually is a pretty odd variety. Now and then I go out, splurge on ingredients and invade my mother’s kitchen so I can create food flops or foodgasms. You can never tell whether a recipe is going to be a flop or a foodgasm until you try it.
Anyway, would you like to know who I am?

This is what my family does at Thanksgiving (this is from a few years ago). My sister Randi, left; my mother, center; and myself, right are drinking ultra-light beer, smoking cigarettes and showing much affection for each other.

This is me and my niece, Cheyenne, on her first day of kindergarten. Isn’t she gorgeous? She’s the coolest niece ever, and she constantly tells me I’m the coolest aunt ever. She’s 5.

These are my cats Ralphie and Sophie. Ralph, the grey stripey one, is a rambunctious boy kitty. So rambunctious, in fact, that he began destroying my roommates belongings (including her front door) and I had to take him out to my parents’ house on a dead end road, where he can roam free. Sophie, the black one, is sweet and gorgeous and shiny, and she keeps me company.

This is a park in Conway, Arkansas. I did NOT spray paint the communist symbol there. However, I was delighted to find that someone else had.
I’m a 21-year-old female, and I’m currently living in my hometown – Texarkana, Texas. As you can see, Texarkana is precariously balanced atop the Texas/Arkansas state line. While I’m not that happy to be in such close proximity to Arkansas (I did live there for several years before coming back to the Texas side), it is nice because my county is dry and I can drive to the state line to buy booze.
I disappeared to Arkansas for a few years, but them Arkansas folks is crazy. Oddly enough, I love grammar, punctuation and copyediting almost as much as I love food. I was a journalism major in Arkansas, and I plan to finish that up here. Right now, though, I’m working for da man. I do tech support/web design/clickmonkey/phone answering work for the local government. My coworkers are fun, and they have fun responses to the food I make.
I will leave you with more random pictures, and random explanations.
Behold, my mum, Cheyenne and Analise (the baby) when she was first born. She’ll be a year old in January, and she’s adorable. That’s remarkable, because normally I do not like babies.
This is what I look like with orange hair.
